Xbox –
The Xbox system was released November 15, 2001, along side with Gamecube and Playstation 2. Being part of one of the biggest console wars ever. Xbox started its pricing at $300, but is now at the price of $150. Xbox had many new features and new games, that contributed to its success, making it a great system. Now Xbox didn’t sell the most units out of the 3 consoles but it still pointed to a worthy adversary.

Xbox 360 - Came out Novemeber 21, 2005, almost a full year before there competition the PSE and the Wii. With that said the 360 had a full year on the market with already a number of different games. The 360 has much customization for the consumer letting them set the setting internally but also letting them buy different things that makes there 360 THEIRS.

Games-
Halo- The start of all of Xbox’s population starts with this one game. When the makers of the game first debuted Halo it had horrible criticism coming into the market. But when the final version was released as a release title for the Xbox, it became a instant hit with it being on everyone’s list of games.

 

 

 

Halo 2- The sequel to the best Xbox game yet Halo 2 selling over 2 million copies its first day on the market. Halo 2 continues the story of Master Chief as he prepares for the final battle for human kind. But what sold Halo 2 was its multiplayer features, with the ability to go online and fight other people and rank up. This was easily the BEST selling game for the Xbox.

 

 

 

Ninja Gaiden- As you play the roll as Ryu Hayabusa, a super ninja, using his abilities for good. You must avenge your villages honor by returning the legendary Dragon Sword from the evil . Ninja Gaiden was and still is one of the hardest games none to the video game world (good luck beating it.)

 


Star Wars: Knights of the Old Republic II: The Sith Lords- The sequel to the first KoToR, one of the biggest rpg games for the Xbox. You choose your character you choose your weapons, you choose your powers, and most of all you choose your destiny. Placed in the Star Wars universe many many years before, you follow the twisting and mysterious storyline that you have created.

 

 


Star Wars: Knights of the Old Republic-
The first KoToR game, having every rpg gamer would want, a good story line, many powers to choose, and expandability throughout the whole game. But wait till you get to the end for the great storyline, as everything comes together.

 

 


Doom 3- Continuing the story of Doom, playing as a space marine trying to keep mankind alive. You travel through space to Hell (literally,) fighting a numerous amount of different villains. Doom 3 was one of the best games for the Xbox graphically, with its great lighting and texturing, it proved great to fans everywhere.

 

 

 


Tom Clancy’s Splinter Cell-
First of the Splinter series starring Sam Fisher starts here. Youplay the secret agent of Sam Fisher who is sent on missions which if he’s captured the government wont take responsibility for him. As a major stealth game you had to infiltrate buildings kill high rolling men without ever being caught.

 

 

Half Life 2- Half Life 2 started on the PC, being one of the best graphically games to this day, has finally come to the Xbox, even though the graphics were not as good as on the pc full specs, it still had its great single player features, playing as the crow bar wielding scientist Gordon Freeman.

 

 

 

 

Far Cry Instincts- The publicity for Far Cry has been half way each very strong, wither it was incredibly lame, or one of the best shooters for the Xbox ever. The great environments and great game play made it hit our list.

 

 


Tom Clancy’s Ghost Recon-
Another Tom Clancy game has made it to the tope ten (not surprising.) This time instead of playing as a lone man you play as a squad through jungles and buildings. Is smart A.I. and difficult setting made it a challenging shooter for all.

 

 

 

 

 

Accessories-
Controller-
The Xbox controller, was much like all other controllers, but was shaped bigger, and bulkier, this problem was fixed with the controller S.

Controller S- Exactly like the normal controller for the Xbox, but smaller and easier to handle. Making it the gamers choice of controller.

Headset- The headset is more of an Xbox Live accessory but is still for the Xox. While you are playing games online you can communicate strategic plans and updates of where the enemy is.

Ethernet- Even though a Ethernet cable isn’t a Xbox exclusive and has been around for years and years. It is an essential accessory to the Xbox, letting you connect to Xbox live and join other players around the world playing various number of games.

Xbox DVD playback kit- Unlike the PS2 the Xbox controller does not let you control DVD’s so you must actually buy the Xbox DVD playback kit, which serves for that purpose. Just like any DVD remote it comes with all the buttons letting you enjoy your DVD experience.
