Wii-
Codenamed Revolution will not be the most impressive console in terms of graphics or sound. But will better be the best console because of its new way to play games, with its new controller, it will revolutionize gaming. The Wii launches in America November 19, 2006, for the price of $250. At the size of 3 DVD cases stacked on top of each other, it comes with many accessories and list of fun games to choose from.

Specs-
Audio: Main audio- Stereo - Dolby Pro Logic II-capable.
Controller- Built right on the top of controller.
Video: Work with any TV or projector, with capabilities of 480p or 576p.
Storage: Built in flash memory, 512. Slots for DS memory card along with Gamecube memory cards. CD drives for both Gamecube disc and Wii discs.
Ram: 1T-SRAM
Processor: Codenamed the “Broadway,” developed by IBM, very few information is know about but we know that it draws less power then the Gamecube processor the “Gecko.”
Port and Peripheral Capabilities: Wii has many port, along the top of it hidden by a sliding door, with things such as 2 USB ports, 1 SD memory card slot, 4 Gamecube controller port, and 2 Gamecube memory slots. While around the rest of the system you can hook up to the internet through Ethernet or USB. 4 Wii controller connectivity and wireless internet built in.

Games-
Super Mario Galaxies- Next gen Mario is here in Mario galaxies. Like any other Mario game, Princess Peach is once again kidnapped, so Mario must travel planet to planet gathering gold stars from the many bosses he defeats. But will Mario rescue Peach in time from this new evil villain.

The Legend of Zelda: Twilight Princess- This game might be one of the most anticipated games for the Wii system, after being delayed for over a full year. From all the Zelda game sin the past, this will be the first one that has a darker game play to it, making it the first T rated game in the Zelda series.

 

 



Red Steel- Red Steel would probably be considered the most anticipated game from the E3 06 showing, next to The Legend of Zelda: Twilight Princess. Its main feature for the user is its benefit to the Wii Nunchuck. From controlling a sword on the TV to controlling a sidearm, and shooting down your enemies, it is clearly one exciting game.

 


 

Excite Truck- Excite truck is one of many Wii launch titles, where the user’s one goal is to win in every race. Playing on many diverse tracks, and racing with a series of monster trucks.


Super Smash Bros. Brawl- The third installment to the famous fighting game of Super Smash Bros. No release date has been announced but will be coming out in 2007. What makes Brawl better then the rest of Super Smash bros is the many MANY characters to choose from. Brawl includes internet play, networking, and the very first time a character not owned by Nintendo.
WarioWare: Smooth Moves- Wario Ware: Smooth Moves, is like the other Wario games, a game of playing mini games over and over again. But you now get to play with the Wii remote, making it more fun then ever.

 

 

Metal Slug: Anthology- Metal Slug Anthology is a collection of many past metal slug games. Including the titles Metal Slug, Metal Slug 2, Metal Slug X, Metal Slug 3, Metal Slug 4, Metal Slug 5, and Metal Slug 6. metal Slug is a side scroller shooter, with a wide variety of machine guns and rocket launchers, with tremendous amount of bullets going through the air all at once.




Mario Strikers Charged- Sequel to the cartoon sports game of Super Mario Strikers on the Gamecube comes Mario Strikers Charged. All characters will have their different stats making the teams more customable to the player. Each team will have 5 players 1 captain 3 sidekicks and 1 goalie.

Mario Party 8- Mario Party 8, the 11 th Mario Party game. Coming out in 2007 with all original characters from Mario Party 7, with 2 additional characters to play as. All the fun that mini games can offer but can only offers more with the Wii capabilities.

Battalion Wars 2- Sequel to the Gamecube Battalion wars. Part first person shooter, part rts. It was a fun method of controlling one guy, while also having influence over your whole army. Its cartooning look made the wartime you were in a fun experience.

 

 

 

 

 

 

Accessories-

Wii Remote- The Wii remote or the Wiimote, is probably the number one reason to get a Wii. It is the main controller to the Wii, while giving the Wii its codenamed Revolution so revolutionary. Using infrared and Bluetooth technology, with the wave of your hand makes you aim to shoot, take a sharp corner, or move your camera.

Nintendo DS- Now even though the DS is its own portable video game system, it is a very important accessory to the Wii. It allows for the user to connect to the internet on there DS, play games with people across the world, or get the latest downloads.

Wii Sensor Bar- Without the sensor bar the use of the Wii is obsolete, it’s the most noninterface object of the Wii, but VERY important. It allows for the Wii remote to communicate with the games. Using its infrared red technology.

Nun chuck- The nunchuck is attachment to the remote, where the only thing on it is its analog stick, 1 “z” button and 1 “c” button. The nunchuck uses the same technology as the remote, and will be shipping with every Wii console.

Controller Shell- Controller Shell- The controller shell is a redesign of the old NES controller, to work for the Wii. It has the same basic design, but just adding 6 buttons, and 2 analog sticks.
