PS2 -
The first to come out for the Sixth Generation era, the PS2 was released in the U.S. on October 26, 2000. As of September 2006, it has outsold any of its competitors and has shown itself to be the fastest selling console yet. As of March 31, 2006, it sold over 105 million copies. Later, a newer and slimmer version of the PS2 was released.

Games-
Grand Theft Auto
: San Andreas- Similar to the other GTA games, you continue on as CJ, the main character of the series. You return to your hometown after learning of your mother’s death to reestablish the old gang and to find out why your mom was murdered.

 

 


God of War
- An adventure game based on Grecian mythology and fictional characters. You must fight and solve puzzles to progress in the game. The context based combat allows your moves to be automatically altered depending on the stance of the enemy as well as the button(s) you push.

 

 


Guitar Hero
- A new popular uproar, Guitar hero is similar to other singing or dancing games on various consoles. The difference is you use a guitar with several buttons rather than actual strings to play the correct sound.

 

 


Tony Hawk’s American Wasteland
- The 7 th installment of the Tony Hawk skateboard game series, this is the first to support on line capabilities. This game also features two famous BMXers in addition to its list of skaters, Rick Thorne and Mat Hoffman.

 

 


Devil May Cry 3
- In this prequel to the first game, you once again play as Dante, this series’ hero. This adventure game supports many different fight styles. Some of these are Sword master and Gun slinger.

 

 


SOCOM US Navy Seals
- Tactical First Person Shooter, as the US Special Ops. COMmander, the SOCOM, you command 3 other Seals to root out Terrorists, find Intel, rescue hostages and other missions.

 

 


Splinter Cell
- Originally released for the Xbox, it was later ported for the PS2 with added content such as extended cinematic scenes and a new level. This first chapter of the Splinter Cell Trilogy is a stealth-based game.

 

 


Star Wars Battlefront 2
- The second in the series, this interchangeable first/third person shooter puts you in charge of the 501 st legion clone trooper unit also known as Vader’s first, of course under the command of Darth Vader.

 

 


Silent Hill 4
- Playing as Henry Townshend you are locked in your apartment with no way out save for one hole in the bathroom. You must embark through this Survival Horror game to find your way through the hole and figure out what is going on.

 

 


Prince of Persia: The Two Thrones
- The second of three games, you must once again save Kaileena, the Empress of Time. Later you realize that the things that you changed in the first game have affected other events in the world.

Accessories-

Controller- The PS2’s Dual Shock 2 was a cosmetic replica of the original Dual Shock. It does have increased pressure sensitivity and more levels of vibration.

Headset- This was distributed with SOCOM and connected through the USB. Other third party, USB enabled headsets may be compatible.

Eye Toy- A camera that also connected through the USB, used for many games. Worked similarly to a web cam.
