The Nintendo 64 came out on March 1 of 1997 in the United States. Only 4 years after the SNES its suppressor. Priced at $200 it challenged the Sony’s Playstation priced at $300.

Goldeneye 007- Goldeneye was 1 of 2 games that revolutionized games on the Nintendo 64. It was revolutionary for the genre of FPS.

 

Super Smash Bros.- Super Smash bros. was considered a fighting game, but in a different way. It let you be up to 12 of your favorite Nintendo characters.

Mario Kart 64- Mario Kart 64, was the 2 nd installment to the Mario kart franchise. It offered for users to play characters from Mario to the evil Bowser. It gave users many courses, soon making this racing title one of the best games for the 64.


Super Mario 64-
The second revolutionary game to the 64, would have to be Super Mario 64. It of course stared our favorite character, Mario. In the Mario series, this would have been its very first 3D game, which made 3D games become so popular.


Ocarina of Time
- Ocarina of time is the 5 th game for Zelda and Link, but the 1 st Link game to be in 3D. Released November 21, 1998 where you play as young Link in the kingdom of Hyrule, growing up throughout the years.


Diddy Kong Racing-
Diddy has finally gotten his own game, in the fun and exciting racing game Diddy Kong Racing. In Diddy kong racing, you can choose from a various selection of characters, some of which went on to build their own franchises. In the peaceful world of Timbers Island, they are forced to race against the evil Wizpig, in order to stop him from destroying their way of live.

Donkey Kong 64- Donkey Kong finally got his own 3D game, with Donkey Kong 64. You played as Donkey Kong and his fellow gorilla friends; Diddy Kong, Tiny Kong, Lanky Kong, and Chunky Kong. Where your goal in the game was to gather a certain amount of golden bananas to get to the end and boss King K, Rool, who was planning on destroying Kong Island.

Star Fox 64- Star Fox 64, was a remake of the famous SNES game Starfox. You play the brave character of Fox Mcloud, along with his team; Peppy Hare, Falco Lombardi, and Slippy Toad. Your main mission is to get to the planet Venom, and destroy Andross.

Star Wars: Rouge Squadron- Have you ever wanted to relive the famous space battles from star wars, but couldn’t find anything, well Star Wars: Rouge Squadron was the game that accomplished just that. It let you fly all kinds of Star Wars ships, in all kinds of battles.

1080 Snowboarding- 1080 had no real plot to it, but instead it was a game to its customers to just have fun. It accomplished its job, while making it the most fun and intense snowboarding game for the 64.

 

 

 

 

 

 

 

Accesseries-

N64 Controller- The N64 controller was a odd shaped “M” with 10 different buttons, 1 analog stick, and 1 D-pad. The 1 analog stick would soon change with 2 analog sticks, with the “C” buttons later changing to the second stick. The controller came in a variety of colors, starting with the boring grey soon going to a lime green and much more.

N64 Controller Pak- The Controller pack was simply a memory card for the 64. It held up to 256 kb of memory, while others held up to 4 mb. It simply plugged into the back of the controller, and you could then save your games onto it, and transfer information to your friend’s console.

Transfer Pak- The transfer was a device that plugged into the back of the controller, but game boy games was what plugged into it. The idea was for you too transfer your saved data from your gameboy to the 64 version of the game, and play from there. Its major games that it supported was the Pokemon Stadium franchise, and many more.

Rumble Pack- Rumble packs back then were considered a great accessory, now days its built into every controller. What it did was give you a more real experience rumbling while you experience a troubling moment in the game.

Expansion pack- The expansion pack came with some certain games, for example Donkey Kong 64. It was used on the bigger games for holding more memory like your saved games. And knocked up the colors the 64 supported up by 4 allowing for better visualization.
