Mosquito is a member of the family Culicidae; these insects have a pair of scaled wings, a pair of halteres, a slender body, and long legs. The females of most mosquito species suck blood from other animals.

There are about 3,300 species of mosquitoes but by far, the following species are considered to be the four most deadly amongst them all:

Mosquitoes causing disease  Virus cause by Mosquitoes
Anopheles Malaria
Aedes simpsoni, A. africanus, and A. aegypti Yellow Fever
Aedes aegypti Dengue Fever
Culex pipiens, Culex restuan, and Culex quinquefasciatus West Nile Virus

Our team decided to concentrate more on “Anopheles” as this based on our findings is the species that causes more deaths than the rest.

Anopheles is a of mosquito that causes Malaria There are about 400 species of Anopheles, of which 30-40 transmit four different species of parasites of the genus Plasmodium that cause malaria which affects humans in endemic areas. Anopheles gambiae is one of the best known, because of its predominant role in the transmission of the most dangerous Plasmodium falciparum.
