Meet The Team
Team Manager (Hugo)
The team manager is the chief executive person responsible for managing the team. He organises meetings and keeps everyone involved and informed of the latest developments and news. He works closely with all members of the team and offers his assistance where necessary. He ensures that the primary and back-up cars are ready for the competitions. He inspires the team to co-operate and achieve their utmost best.
Age: 15 (Grade 9)

Resource Manager (Michelle)
The resource manager does all the research needed by team members in order to let them do their job to the best of their abilities. She organises materials and equipment for the designs and the making of the cars. She is also responsible for developing ideas regarding the team marketing/presentation. She has to check with all members to make sure that tasks are progressing on time, and offer additional help, if needed.

Manufacturing Engineer (Johannes)
The manufacturing engineers are responsible for advising team members on the manufacturing of the car and the construction of the machining process. They need to co-operate with the design engineers to report and help solve any problems with the construction of the car.

Manufacturing Engineer (Coenraad)
The manufacturing process involves the sanding and painting of the cars. At least four cars have to be finished for the regional competition: two cars to demonstrate the development of the design and two for the actual competition. The two competition cars must be identical to the proposed design, it must be symmetrical in form and it must have an excellent finish. The two cars must be identical in every detail. It is quite clear why a second manufacturing engineer is needed.

Design Engineer (Alfred)
The design engineer is responsible for the developing and styling of the aerodynamic performance of the car design. He has to co-operate with the manufacturing engineers to ensure that their ideas can be realised and understood.

Future Plans: Structural Engineer
Graphic Designer (Marleen)
The graphic designer is responsible for the production of the colour schemes applied to the vehicle, including any special sponsorship details, together with the final graphic image and any additional team marketing materials. She is responsible for the portfolio and final presentation. She has to work with the design engineer to ensure that chosen schemes will fit the shape of the vehicle. She must also work with the resource manager for additional marketing development.
