He also was one of the illegitimate sons of Zeus. He became King of an Island of his own name. His entire population was killed by the pest and he Zeus if he could repopulate his island. The great lord transformed all the ants on the island into humans. Later he prayed Zeus to stop the drought which was troubling his country and, this too, was done. When he died, Hades thought that the sense of honesty and good decision making of Aeacus would make him a good judge of Hell.
He is son of Zeus and Europa. He is famous for many reasons and events. He had taken over the royal throne and chassed away his two brothers. His wife was Pasiphae. After a ceremony, he had sacrificed an unhealthy and poor quality bull to Poseidon, the latter decided to take revenge. He made Pasiphae to fall in love with the bull and from this strange union the Minotaur was born. To hide the Minotaur, Minos ordered Daedalus, the legendary architect to contruct a maze to put the Minotaur so that he may never come out as the maze was built to be so complex that it was nearly impossible to find its exit.
After that event, Minos gave orders to imprison Daedalus in a very high tower so that he may never reveal the way to enter the maze and go out easily.
Later, Daedalus managed to escape by building a pair of wings made from pigeons' feather and candle wax.
Unfortunately Minos was able to find him, Daedalus asked some young girls to convince Minos to take a bath in hot, boiling water which would make him become immortal. But Minos died in the process and when he cam to Hell, Hades made him become on of the judges.
He is the brother of Minos and the illegitimate son of Zeus. While his brother Minos was king, Radhamanthys did an excellent work in juridical matters but he had to go because he was chassed away by Minos and maried a widow named Alcmena. His good qualities in juridical matters made him to acquire the last place of judge of Hell.
"Aeacus was assigned to look after the souls of the Asians and Africans while Radhamanthys was assigned to look after the souls of the Europeans and finally, Minos was the one who had the last vote."
