In the 2004 Summer Olympics the stars were Michael Phelps and Justin Gatlin. Michael Phelps set the world record for 200m Fly and got first place. Justin Gatlin holds the world record for 100m with 9.77 seconds. At the 2004 Olympics in 100m he got gold and in 200m he got bronze.

USA lost their 1996 title at the 2004 World Cup of Hockey as they lost to Finland in the semi-finals. USA's best success was Miracle on Ice at the 1980 Winter Olympics. In the 1990s the top NFL stars were Brett Hull, Jeremy Roenick, Brian Leetch, and Mike Modano.  They won a silver medal at the 2002 Winter Olympics. Go USA hockey!!!!
