Interesting Facts: In a battle he got hit by a cannonball in the leg. They amputated his leg and put it in a museum. Every year on the anniversary, he went and visited his leg at the museum.
Sickles was also the only General who fought at Gettysburg that was later captured on motion picture film. He was also the first person to use the insanity defense to escape a murder conviction.
