Red Tide

Red tide is caused by he microscopic sea flora causing the red tide in the bay are the non-toxic phytoplankton, species Noctiluca.

The red tide could cause many aquatic animals to die, but not humans.

This red tide is the worst the Cape has had in 45 years, and the plankton will eventually die out when the nutrients that keep them going are used up.

Their bodies will cover the floor and the decomposers will flourish. If they were not moved by wind or current before they died, they would choke the sea, suffocating the fish and aquatic animals.
