Just what is addiction? According to the American Heritage Dictionary addiction is: a compulsive, physiological and psychological need for a habit-forming substance. In this case the "habit-forming substance" is video games. Wikipedia has this to say about game addiction: "Video Game addiction is a proposed form of psychological addiction composed of a compulsive use of computer and video games, most notably MMORPGs, and is related to Internet addiction disorder."
