WELCOME Welcome to our web site, “Oroville, The Forgotten Golden City.” We're the O-Unit from California State University-Chico Upward Bound Projects. Our web site, “Oroville, The Forgotten Golden City” was created to inform our viewers about our town and what it has to offer. We're the O-Unit from the Upward Bound Projects located at the California State University, Chico campus. This year was a challenging yet inspiring year for us. Realizing through personal experiences that Oroville is not a very well known town. We were surprised that there are many local people, from nearby towns, that wonder what has become of Oroville. Some people often get Oroville, CA confused with Oroville, WA. With this in mind it was clear that our main goal, as a team, is to help viewers learn the history, the struggles, and events that take place in our town. By creating this website, we hope it will inspire you and demonstrate the sprit of Oroville, California. We will like to thank you on the behalf of our town for visiting this site. Hoping the information will educate you, show you our points of view, and of how we came to love this town. There are those who don’t know a thing about our town and would probably wonder what it is like living there. It could be surprising that there are more things in town than meets the eye.
