Violence

"If you could kick the person in the pants responsible for most of your trouble, you wouldn't sit for a month"
-Theodore Roosevelt

Violence in General

Have you ever felt an urge to just release a huge tension welled inside of you? That tension is anger, and whether it is losing a loved one or just getting mad, it's welled up in you just like everyone else. It's not if you are angry that is bad, but it is the way you release that anger into the world. Sometimes, even if you don't mean to, you release that anger into the world the wrong way with violence. Violence is a big probolem in the world, and we each have done it just the same. Whether it's grief, depression, or if your just plain mad, it all leads to violence one way or another. It also has a big effect on you as a person. Violence causes:

Wars
Bad relationships
Abuse
Death

How to prevent violence

There are ways to prevent violence in this new day and age. Some of these ways are:
Exercise regularly. Exercising and sports are great ways to blow off steam.
Take a nap. This will help you get over your anger.
Don't be afraid to cry. This will also help you get over your anger.
Find an activity that makes you happy. (When you get mad, you just go and do the activity that you enjoy.)
Recognize the warning signs. (These signs can be carrying wepons, enjoying hurting animals, or loss of temper regularly.)

Finding Your "Click"

There are a few ways to find your "click". You can find what makes you angry by:
Talking to your guidence counselor.
Think about times that you got angry and relate to what made you mad then. Learn to express your feelings calmly.

"Being on either end of a violent situation, whether you seem to have come out or whether you don't seem to, it doesn't resolve anything. It escalates the probolem. Hatred leads to more hatred. Violence leads to more violence."
-Adam Yauch of the Beastie Boys
