National Exhibition Centre
NATIONAL EXHIBTION CENTRE a rail way station, a lake and parking for some 20 000 vehicles make the National Exiting Centrex, 12km south west of Johannesburg, one of the biggest and sophisticated complexes of its kind in the world.This is where Johannesburg's famous RAND EASTER SHOW takes place every year, a massive and spectacular consumer exhibition that draws some 700 000 visitors and over 1 200 exhibitions, many of them coming from overseas to show of their various products.
An annual visit to the Rand Easter Show has a become a time-honored tradition among many of Johannesburg citizens, who come along to watch the pageantry, and sample the attraction. Among these are a trill- a-and minute fairground, helicopter rides, parades, heart- stopping bun dee jumping, displays, air music concerts, competitions and, of course,the many huge halls exhibiting a seemingly endless range of products and services.
