General information:
-Perennial tree of the olive family. The cultivated specimen can be found inside the area of the mediterranean. This tree can be found all over Majorca and it is used to make the famous olive oil as well as olives. It is also used for its wood which is carved to make beautiful bowls. On the island you can find some trees which are over 200 years old.
