Figs in syrup
-One kilo of peeled figs
-500 grams of sugar
1) Mix the sugar with the figs and allow to rest at least one whole night in a cool place.
2) Place in a saucepan over a low flame and stir until the mixture is reduced. However don't allow it to thicken too much although this really depends on your personal taste.
3) Place in a sterilized jam pot and place the pot in a saucepan of boiling water and boil for twenty minutes.
4) You can eat this with icecream, or over fresh fruit and it is really delicious.
