We are students from Seoul International High School (South Korea) enrolled in our schools Web Design II class. Our team is composed of all males 3 seniors and 2 juniors. At first we had a difficult time deciding what we wanted to make a website on. Entirely informational websites did not seem appealing to us. We were in search of something informative, fascinating, and fun. With the escalation of divination¡¯s popularity in South Korea, we finally decided that a website on Tarot Cards would be fit to our purpose.

We began the Thinkquest project as a continuation of a tradition that started last year. Last year was more of an experimental year because it was the first time for anyone at our school to compete in this competition. However, this year we have a clear purpose as to what we want to create and how we want can contribute to the Thinkquest competition. Two out of five members have had previous experience with the Thinkquest competition before, but three members are new to the whole experience. Combining fresh ideas and veteran experience, we hope to create a website that is both entertaining and informative.

Our primary purpose in competing in the Thinkquest competition was to enhance our skills as web designers. When the group was formed, many of us had different strengths and weaknesses, and we tried to use this opportunity to expand our knowledge on subjects we were not that confident with. However, not only did we focus on improving our technical skills, we also found the topic of Tarot cards extremely fascinating and used the opportunity to satisfy our curiousity about the subject. All in all, it was a great experience to create this website. That being said, we hope that you will enjoy the fascinating realm of tarot as much as we do.

Greetings, my name is Bryan, currently a senior attending Seoul International School. This is my second year participating in the Thinkquest contest. Last year was more of an experimental year as my team and I did not know what to expect. However, this year, with the addition of three new members and a revitalized motivation, we were successfully able to create an entertaining and informative website. As the team leader, I was in charge of most of the difficult and advanced programming that was required. Although it was tedious for me, it was also an opportunity to teach the rookies and help them expand their technological knowledge. Although I will not be returning next year, as I will be attending the engineering program at University of Illinois Urbana-Champaign, my passion in computer science will remain strong. Best luck to all the underclassmen that will take over next year. Peace.

Hello, my name is Sung Joseph. I am currently a senior at Seoul International School and I will be graduating this may to go to USC Marshall School of Business. Taking Web Design II, the highest level computer class that our school has, my second year it is my second time participating in the Think Quest Competition. With last years senior gone and new juniors entering the class, my group mates this year are different from last year. However, my job within the team is the same: translator. It is a tedious job to translate all the text, but I still enjoyed the work. Last year, being our first year participating, we faced a lot of difficulties. This year with 2 members of the team, including myself, having experience the process was smooth. I believe that we have done a great job and I hope that we are able to win a prize.

Hello, my name is Jonathan. Currently, I am a senior at Seoul International School. I am looking forward to go to Rhode Island School of Design to major in Graphic Design. It is my first time taking Web Design II class as well as entering the Think Quest Competition. As part of a team with very talented people, I was in charge of the graphics and images. The techniques that I used to create our images are photo manipulating and collage. The programs that I have used are Photoshop, Illustrator, and Flash. It was a great experience to work with my team especially because everyone was very comfortable to work with. My experience as a Think Quest competitor will last for long and I hope our ends meet well.

Hello, I am an ardent narcissist that goes by the name of Arthur. Currently a junior at Seoul International School, it is a very new experience for me to join the highly experienced group of students that have decided to participate in the ThinkQuest project. Though my contributions to the group have been highly technical and have not required much skill, it has definitely been an opportunity for me to broaden my technological scope as well as meeting new people. It was actually initially my idea to have the website on Tarot cards, as I was fascinated with the divination of the Tarot. With the help of my fellow colleagues, we have been able to gather, organize, and construct a website that is both entertaining and informational. All in all, this project was a big success and we hope to create another one for next year’s tournament (although it is quite depressing to note that the students with the advanced technological experience will be leaving us for college. GOOD LUCK TO THEM.) Enjoy~.

Hi. My name is Steve and I am currently a junior in high school. This was my first time entering the ThinkQuest competition hence I am quite excited to see how well other groups have done compared to ours. Our group was very strong this year in that we had members each with a different area of specialty. I, along with the rest of my group, anticipate great results for this year’s ThinkQuest because we have put in a great deal of time and effort. Because I was one of the younger and less experienced members of the group, I was not assigned difficult tasks but I nonetheless contributed at the best of my ability. I mostly dealt with content and assisted in some minor coding. My final feelings about our Karma website are pride and satisfaction. I hope you enjoy the site and learn some new things about tarot cards.

My name is Aaron and I have been teaching web design for four years at SIS. This is my second time to manage to participate in the ThinkQuest contest and I am very excited to see the outcome. I am always amazed at the level of commitment and ingenuity that my students apply to these multimedia projects. It is a testament to their skill and creativity. I hope you enjoy their hard work as much as I do.
