Garden Diary--September

SEPTEMBER

Now the garden is closing down. There are only a few things left growing. The squash is surprising. It decided to try to grow a new squash. Who knows, maybe it will actually grow. The gourd is about ready to pick. I have a lot of gourds now. The peppers have been growing well and still are.

Some things are dying. The other gourd plant has grown all the gourds it probably ever will. This is a lot of gourds we’re talking about. Our carrot patch was infested by bugs. There are a lot of weeds in it now. Our tomatoes still have green tomatoes on them, but I don’t think they’ll grow. The garden is shutting down.
