Garden Diary

Garden Diary: Introduction

I--Nadia-- kept a garden from April to October. It’s grown spinach, radishes, carrots, tomatoes , chili peppers, bell peppers, squash, corn, and gourds. I’m surprised it grew all these things considering how it was kept the past few years. Since we don’t own any flat land the garden had to be built on a hill. My dad built a semi-circular retaining wall to keep the soil in the garden. He also put a wire fence around it so the deer couldn’t get in. We used the garden one year but after that we barely ever went into it. I wrote this diary so kids can learn how growing a garden is hard work and fun at the same time.
