Blue Whale |
The Blue Whale is the largest animal to inhabit the Earth. The gentle giant has grayfish which is blue skin and light spots. Blue Whales are 70 to 80 feet in length! They weigh to about 90 to 150 tons! Blue Whales live to about 80 years. They are found through out the world’s oceans. These whales eat up to 7,715 pounds of krill a day! They swim about 14 MPH. Their treats are entanglement in fishing nets, pollution , and illegal whaling |

Bottle Nose Dolphins |
The Bottlenose Dolphin Get is nose from how it snout looks. They typically weigh 440-600 pounds. They usually grow to 10 feet. Bottlenose Dolphin lives for 30-50 year old. They mostly live in warm or tropical waters. The Bottlenose Dolphin usually will eat 13-33 pounds of food a day. These dolphins are social animals. The main threat to the dolphins is that they were injured or killed during the capture of tuna. |

Gray Whale

The Western pacific gray whale is considered “threatened.” They are typically gray to black with many white spots and skin blotches. The female Gray Whale usually grows to 40-50 feet and can weigh 16 tons. Males are a little smaller. They usually live in shallow waters and prefer the coast of N. America from California to the Artic ocean. Gray Whales mostly eat bottom-dwelling organisms like small crustaceans, Mollusks, and worms. The major threats are population and humans. |

Killer Whale |
The Killer Whale is sometimes known as an Orca. They are the largest member of the dolphin family. Their bodies are black with white patches on their under side. Male orcas typically grow to 23 feet long and 7-10 tons. Females are a bit smaller. Orcas live 30-50 years in the wild. They live in both coastal and open waters. These whales eat fish, squid, birds, and marine mammals. They travel in social groups called pods. The biggest threat to killer whales is pollution. |

Manatee |
Manatees are typically grayish brown in color. Their two front flippers move them along the ocean floor. These mammals weigh 1,500-1,800 pounds and are 10-12 feet in length. Usually manatees are found in Florida and live to 50-60 years of age. Manatees are herbivores. Most eat marine and fresh water plants. Major threats to manatees are humans and boat accidents. |

Sea Turtle |
Sea or marine turtles are an ancient creature, their fossil record goes back 150 million years. Sea turtles have 7 species, they are: Green, Hawksbill, Kemps Ridley, Olive Ridley, Leatherback, Loggerhead, and Australian Flatback. Their worldwide population is unknown. Most sea turtles live 15-20 years and may live to 80. Sea turtles are found in warm waters. Most sea turtles eat jellyfish, seaweed, crabs, shrimp, snails, algae, and mollusks. Turtles spend most of their time in water. If they come out to lay eggs, land travel is awkward. Threats to them are capture, harvesting of eggs, destruction of nesting beaches, ocean pollution, oil spills, and entanglement in fishing and shrimp nets. |
