Great Barrier Reef
The Great Barrier Reef is a very interesting place. It is located in Australia. For one thing it is made up of 3,000 single reefs! For another it is one of seven natural wonders of the world! Plus it is home to tons of creatures. It is home to giant clams, whales, dolphins, porpoises, sea turtles, mollusks, sea snakes, 1500 species of fish, seaweed, jellyfish, and starfish. Did you know that sharks aren’t often seen there? Did you know that you often need a manual to tell you the different kinds of fish? Did you know that you need white light to see the color of the reef? Did you know that coral has a limestone skeleton? Did you know that there are different genders of coral? Well all that’s true!
I really enjoyed learning about the Great Barrier Reef. I hope you did too! (Also I highly advise making a trip to the Great Barrier Reef!)
