Space Camp: My Experience
By Lara:
I went to space camp on October 21, 2006. Space camp in Huntsville, Alabama was the best. If you would like to do a space camp log on to http://spacecamp.com/.
There are many types of camps there. I did a Parent Child one with my dad. When you go there you get to learn about many things, and get to make friends. You can order a space suit to wear. Every day you go to the museum there and learn all about space history. You learn about the first scientists, rocketry, and cool and fun facts. The kids get to do a Super Secret Project when they make their own ISS. While the parents draw a mission patch for the group. You get to play Space Bowl at the end of the term which is trivia about all the things you learned there.

I was able to go to Space camp on March 17-19. In the parent child program you get to do a lot of simulators that real astronauts use to get ready to go into space. Some of the simulators include the MAT (multi axis trainer), the 1 sixth chair, and much, much more. You do a lot of learning and projects. You get to watch two movies called “Roving Mars” and “Walking On The moon”.
