Global Warming
Global Warming is when our pollution and fossil fuels release carbon dioxide and other gasses into the air and causes the suns heat to be trapped inside our atmosphere and heat the earth. The temperature usually increases 1.5- 4.5 degrees every year. That may not seem like a lot but, if you keep on adding up, in 20 years we will be grilled! The temperature change can cause a rise in the sea level due to the melting of glaciers in the polar ice caps. It may also cause a pattern of precipitation resulting in floods, hurricanes, drought, heat waves, and tornados which cause many deaths of people and animals. Other affects are specie extinction a reduce of summer stream flows and an increase in the risk of disease because of harmful animals can live farther from the equator.
