Drum Set

The drum set is mostly made up of drums, cymbals, and sometimes more percussion instruments. It is usually played by blues, jazz, and rock artists.

A drummer uses drum sticks to strike a drum and make a sound.

Earlier drum sets were called trap sets. They were usually made of bass drums, snare drums on stands, cymbals and other percussion instruments put on a bass drum or small table. All of the instruments were played with drumsticks or brushes except for the occasional kick drum. Two drum sets are rarely alike.

Rock drummers often use lots of cymbals and tom-toms to create more vibration.
