What is Freedom of Action? The second biggest part of freedom of expression is freedom of action. Freedom of action means that, students can do what you want, however, there are some restrictions. One example of freedom of action, is that you don’t have to salute the flag during the pledge of allegiance if you don’t want to. Students can’t physically harm someone, just because they have freedom of action. This right applies to school, but there are some times when it doesn’t apply. Students can’t mess around, while they are supposed to be working. Students, however, can play and do what they they want during recess, as long as it’s safe for themselves and others. Also, you can have after school groups about anything not against the educational purpose of the school, if after school groups are allowed.
