Who?

In 1993, fourteen year old Larry Villella became an entrepreneur (one who starts their one business) and inventor. He lived in Fargo, North Dakota.

 

Why?

It all started with chores, lots of chores! Larry Villella got really tired of watering the grass without over watering the tree. So he made the Conserve Sprinkler. He explained, "I would either over- or under-water the trees and a couple of them died. I got blamed, so I had to figure a way to water them just right."

How does it work?

It fits around the tree and and spray the same amount to the grass as you give to the tree's roots! And any one (4+) can use it. Do you now what a big inpact it made on the kid community? Just think, less chores to do, more fun to have! At first, he made them by hand and selling them. Then, a company called Terhorist in Minot North Dakota began manufacturing his sprinklers. Thousands of people buy his sprinkler (including yours truly).
