OUR SCHOOL ACTIVITIES 1.Kindergarten students made a traffic track in their hall. They made zebra crossings, bridges, cars, buses, tunnels, bus stops, gas stations, rail roads, trains , traffic signs and traffic ligths. They all made it by themselves without any help. They are very happy because they managed to do a good job and of course they are happy because they can play in it too.
2.Kindergarten students drew a picture about traffic on a program in their computer lessons.
3.Every year the 1st graders have a celebration on reading and they have a show. This year there were six groups and one of the groups made a show on traffic. They were wearing costumes that represent traffic.
4.The 3rd graders had a project on traffic in computer class. They searched the traffic accidents on the internet. Then they wrote their solutions to traffic accidents. You may see a sample below. Click on the image.
5.The 4th graders created a portfolio in their traffic and first aid lesson. They also had a performance homework on traffic accidents.
6.One of our friends has been to a play about traffic accidents. Its name was "Rahmetli de Sollardı" (The deceased overtook, too.) . The players were physically disabled people.
7.In our school, we held a maths, science and technology fair on April 5th, 2007. We presented our traffic project. We drew everybody's attention to traffic problems. Also we tested a solution about to decrease the traffic accidents. We made a track with cardboards and toy cars. We stick lastic band around the toy cars. We tried to show how to reduce the force between two cars when they crashed.
