Finger Print

A fingerprint is an impression of the friction ridges of all or any part of the finger. A friction ridge is a raised portion of the finger skin. It appears on all fingers, but the most used one is the thumbprint. A finger print is a continuous lines that have branches which gives each person a distinguishable form.

In other words, fingerprint normally refers to impressions transferred from the pad on the last joint of fingers and thumbs on other substances especially smooth ones and used to make identifications. It is proved that these prints can not matches in two persons in the world even twins that its origin in a single ovum.

The thumb print consists at the embryo in the thirteenth week (the fourth month) and remains till human dies, and if the body kept with the mummification or in the ice places, the print remains as it is thousands of years And if the skin was removed from the finger, the same characteristics start to appear again in the new skin.

Other facts about fingerprint:

1.      Man fingerprint is different than woman.

2.      Scientists group fingerprint types into categories.

3.      Footprints are also used in personal identifications.

4.      The Koala is one of the few mammals that have fingerprints.

In history:
 In 1823 scientist "Purkinje" had discovered the fact of fingerprints. He found that the lines on the upper part of the fingers vary from one person to another, and he found four types of these lines: Arcs, circles, knots or structured shapes that consist of more than one shape.

In 1858, the English scientist, "William Herschell" had pointed to the fact of different fingerprints for different owners, making it a distinctive for each person. In 1877, Dr. Henry Faulds invented the idea of putting fingerprint on paper using ink. In 1892, Dr. Francis Galton proved that the image of a fingerprint live with the person throughout his life not changed in spite of all what could happen to him. Scientists have found that one Egyptian mummy still has its own fingerprints clear and with no change.

In Quran:
The inimitability of the Holy Qur’an is clarified when Allah refers, in the context of debating with those who deny resurrection, to His ability to replicate in perfect order the fingertips that distinguish every person. Fingerprints that seems to those who know nothing, to be too trivial to be mentioned in the Holy Qur’an are a proof of Allah’s precise creation. Mentioning fingerprints, in particular, in the Holy Qur’an refers to the knowledge of Allah, the source of the Great Qur’an:
(Surah Al-Qiyamah – Verses Nos. 3 - 4) tell us about this proof.
Verses meaning:
 Does man (a disbeliever) think that we shall not assemble his bones? Yes, we are Able to put together in perfect order the tips of his fingers.
