Children are bullied everyday through their email, text messaging and even MySpace.com. There are many reports claiming that “MySpacers” have constructed hit lists and put them on their websites. Authors of these offensive MySpace pages have the intention to intimidate and scare their victims. The public display of aggression on these websites discourages the targets to stand up for themselves.
Text messaging is another type of cyberbullying. A United Kingdom survey found that one in four kids have been bullied through text messages or email. This kind of cyberbullying is very little known because it is seldom reported.
