Pre-Colonial

Sari – A long strip of unstitched cloth which can vary in length from five to nine yards that can be draped in many different styles.

Stanapatta –  A thin band that horizontally lies across the breast.

Dhoti – An unstitched piece of rectangular cloth which is wrapped around the waist and legs.

Turban – A long scarf that is wrapped around the head. A headdress or inner hat.

Harrapa – A Punjab city.

Mojris – A nicely designed, comfortable wedding shoe.

Bollywood – The Indian entertainment (movies) industry.
