Tokyo is the financial, economic and cultural capital of Japan, as well as being the capital city. It was called Edo when it was founded in the 12th century.
This city is expanding, so, you kneed to use more land. But where do you get it from? You build iupwards. There are currently lots of skyscrapers being built in Tokyo.
Shinjuku and Ginza are famous shopping centres. Akasaka and Roppongi are alive with the buzz of Tokyo’s nightlife. Ueno Park hosts museums, a concert hall and the Tokyo zoo. The park is cherished for it’s cherry blossoms.

2.Mexico City - 19.24 million people.
The capital of Mexico is Mexico City. More than half a million people move into the city from the countryside every year because they think that there will be lots of jobs and chances to make money. However, it is not always the case because many have to move into shanty towns.
Shanty towns are cramped, dirty, unhealthy places to live, full of houses that are made of cardboard, corrugated card, and any other materials the shanty dwellers can find.
Mexico City is surrounded by mountains, which traps all of the car fumes, so more pollution is kept in the city.

Mumbai (Bombay) is the third most populated city in the world, and the capital of Maharashtra.
Mumbai is the place to be if you want to star in an Indian movie, along side Hrithik Roshan, Priyanka Chopra, Shah Rukh Khan or Kajol, because this city is also known as Bollywood (a combination of Bombay and Hollywood.
Mumbai is in India, their currency is rupees, and their main religion is Hinduism. The main languages are Marathi, Hindu and English.
Some people call Mumbai mini India because of everything it can offer you. The rich and the poor all live in Mumbai.

New York is one of the states in the USA and New York City is in that state. It was the largest U.S. city by 1790, and is known as the “Big Apple”. The used currency is US dollars ($), and their first language is American English.
New York City can be found on the Eastern Atlantic coast of the US at the mouth of the Hudson River.
Many films and television shows have been set in New York. For example: Friends the television show and
Madagascar the film (the zoo part).

São Paulo is Portuguese for Saint Paul, and it is found in south eastern Brazil.
The area of the city is 588 square miles, making it the largest (and most populated) city in the southern hemisphere.

Calcutta in Bengali or is the capital of the Indian state of West Bengal. It is in eastern India on the eastern bank of the River Hooghly. With a metropolitan population of over 14 million, makes it the seventh largest city in the world and the third-largest one in India.
The city was once the capital of India during the British Raj until 1911, and was the centre of modern education, science, culture and politics. Calcutta was economically at a standstill in the years after the independence of India, but, since the year 2000, the city has had a rapid growth that has stopped the gloomy decline. Calcutta still struggles with problems like poverty, pollution, traffic congestion, and the fact that the cities are taking over the towns and villages.
