Admiral-the Commander in Chief of a Navy

Congress-the supreme legislative body of a nation and especially of a republic.

DOD - Department of Defense.

General- the Chief Administrative Officer of a major military unit

Joint Chiefs of Staff- The principal military advisory group to the President of the United States composed of the chiefs of the Army, Navy, and Air Force and the commandant of the Marine Corps.

Pentagon - the headquarters for the Department of Defense.

President- an elected official serving as both chief of state and chief political executive in a republic having a presidential government.

National Military Establishment-the original name for the DOD; name changed in 1949.

Weapons of Mass Destruction -weapons capables of causing massive damage and killing of large numbers of people
