Have you ever played with Legos? They have been around for 75 years and were created by a poor carpenter in Billund, Denmark named ole Kirk Christiansen. Since their creation by Christiansen, the LEGO group has made a large step forward from creating interlocking blocks to build with to creating robots. LEGOS are played with 5,000,000,000 hours a year (yes, that’s 5 billion hours a year!) according to the LEGO group. LEGOS are very popular because they allow a person’s imagination to run free; they’re only limited by a person’s imagination. There are even robotic competitions using LEGO products to make the robots in which students 4th grade to high school can participate. The robots known as the RCX and NXT are built to perform specific tasks set up by the state for competition. |
