What  to wear on that day



What the bride wears on that day is a symbol of her character so the bride shouldn't forget this matter and try to wear something which best shows her personality. The other very important thing on that day is the offering of tea by the bride to all the guests. Now a days this custom is not very popular but in small cities and villages this custom is still popular. When the groom and his family enter the room the bride shouldn't she should go to the kitchen and wait for her mother to call and say, " My dear the guests are waiting for the tea." Then the bride takes the tray and puts the cups on it and pours tea in them and then take the tea to the room and offer tea to all the guests. In brewing tea these points should be concidered: - choose the tea of high quality and good scent. - Before the suit brew the tea once so that you know how well it is. - Be careful to take the well brewed tea. - Different kinds of tea are brewed differently but at least 20 minutes is needed. - When pouring the dry tea in the tea-pot, concider the number of the guests, you should pour enough tea in the pot. - Have in mind that the tray, cups and spoons should all be dried and without any stains. - Use cotton cloth for drying the tea tray,cups and spoons. - For having the best quality tea, brew it in a porcelaine pot. - While pouring tea, return the first cup into the pot and pour again. -While pouring tea, first pour the tea into the cups and then put them in the tray so that the bottom of the cups are all dry. - Pour tea very slowly and carefully so that there won't be any froth on top of the cup if so then take the foam out using a spoon. - leave about 0.5 cm empty at the top of the cup so that it won't pour into the tray while taking it to the guests. - Since most of the Iranians like to see the color of the tea they are drinking it's better to pour them in tumblers. - After pouring tea make some tea again so that it will be ready for the next round. - Take the tray and hold it under your chest with a little distance. - Offer the tea concidering the age of the guests. - A young girl from the bride's side can offer the sugar bowl. - It's better to use medium sized sugar cubes. - Don't use too many sugar bowls only one is enough. - Start offering tea from the eldest lady of the groom's family who can be his mother or grand mother. - Try not to have your back to the guests while offering the tea. -Don't move the tray until you make sure that the guests have taken the tea from the tray completely. - Don't speak while offering the tea because you might drop the tray or pour the tea. - When you offer the tea to the groom stand there a little longer don't leave soon. - If there is a kid among the guests take tea for him yourself. - By putting a small vase and some flowers in the tray you can make the tray more beautiful. -Don't add any thing to the tea (like cardamoms or cinnamon) because not every body likes it. - You can add a little bit of vanilla to the sugar cubes to make them more delicious . - Pay attention that you the color of tea is neither dark nor light. - If the guests tea has got cold before drinking bring them a new one. - Don' t let the empty cups to remain on the table for more than ten minutes. - Some time after the first round of tea bride's mother can ask the guests if they want some more tea.
