At those times the girls were supposed to get married by the age of 13 or 14 if not they would be concidered rancid. At the same time that mothers taught their daughters housewives duties they would also teach them to obey their husbands and their parents. The girl would be told that there is no divorce and she should live with her husband until the last day of her life.
Teaching with dolls :
At those times since the girls would get married very soon their mothers started teaching them from the age of 5 or 6. They taught their daughters to saw doll's clothes, put the doll to sleep, change the diapers and etc. while the girls were playing with their dolls. Sweeping , dusting and cooking would be taught when they were a little older. If a girl got married and didn't know the above jobs then her mother would become ashamed.
