Honeymoon

Leaving on honeymoon has not been a tradition among the Iranians. This tradition has got into our customs from western countries but now a days it is accepted by most of the people. In Iran the bride and groom don't leave to honeymoon from their ceremony like the people in west do but this trip will be made with couple of days delay. What makes this trip a must is the need for the bride and groom to spend some time on their own with no disturbance what so ever. Spending some time together just after all that excitement of the ceremony and the preperations is very pleasant. Furthermore in this medern world, the newly wed can't find this time after they start living under one roof . In Iran you can hardly find a newly wed who go on their honeymoon trip right after the ceremony. This trip is taken when the time is appropriate for the bride and groom. Sometimes the newly wed choose the nearest holiday after the ceremony for their trip. This way they don't need to ask for leaves from their jobs. If the trip is taken up to one month after the ceremony its very ideal because the honeymoon trip is somehow a gift from the groom to the bride and also it's a time for both of them to take a rest and have fun. It is clear that the bride and the groom can't take a whole month off their jobs in all over the world. May be only some very very rich people take a month for their trip but for ordinary people the honeymoon trip is only a week or couple of days or at the most 2 weeks. The number of the days aren't that important the important thing is that the newly wed spend a sweet honeymoon together.
