Marriage is not just marrying one person but it's also the connections that we will have with our in-laws. Since Iranians are very hospitable some parties are held for the bride and groom by the in-laws of both bride and groom. In these parties the groom's in-laws invite both their own and the bride's relatives so that they all get to know each other.
