Shoes:  Do NOT wear street shoes!!!! You can also rent shoes at the bowling center. Your own bowling shoes will have a right shoe that has a rubber sole for gripping power, and a left shoe sole has a leather sole for sliding power, and just the opposite for left-handers. But the rental shoes have the rubber on the sole, but the leather is on the heel instead!                                                 
Clothing: Casual clothes that are easy to move in are best for bowling. Men sometimes wear a bright shirt, and a woman sometimes wears a skirt that isn't too tight. They can also have league shirts if they're on a team.
