Rationale

We chose this project as we believe that it would be meaningful to know more about the culture of noodles, instead of just cooking and eating it. In addition, our project also will be able to bridge up the culture gaps between different cultural and racial groups. After several brainstorming sessions, our group realizes that pasta and other noodles may be an interesting topic as it has many diverse shapes and sizes. However, we decided to provide in-depth studies to analyze the culture behind the various types of noodles, the past, present future of this food. The reason why we chose noodles as our topic, over other food because noodles are a staple and can be found commonly in most people’s diets.
