About us
The teamReasons behind choosing the topic
We were gathered together for out first meeting, while researching for our topic, we were at the same time having our lunch-pasta. With that, we had a brain blast, choosing to do on the topic pasta. It is only after much researching and consideration, that we found out that there was not much of point to do on a topic that solely concentrated on pasta. It is then that we start finding out our main motives for the topic-bridging culture divides. And pasta itself will not be able to accomplish that. The answer was noodles. With different types of noodles added into our resource package, there was a diversity of culture embodying it. Our hopes are that through the understanding of the different types of noodles, and the culture and origin behind it , we would be able to get people excited about the noodles of other nations, going ahead to try noodles that were once alien to them while knowing the culture and history that lies within the noodles. Thus, achieving our goal of bridging culture divides.
The Team
The team “Oodles Of Noodles” comprises of Timothy , the group leader, Hofai , Shaun and Bertrand all from Singapore. Timothy started recruiting members after attending a thinkquest briefing held by our mentor. The various team members, though are of different ages, possessing different skills, and interests, were eventually able to work together efficiently as a team, using our teams strength to its fullest potential. Having members with different interest comes with having differing points of views from one another. We then collaborated our viewpoints into the website. Each team member were assigned task from Timothy according to each one’s strength , worked together as a team and build the website which became our pride and joy.
Collaboration
Collaboration is indeed important for the success of a team project. Our team stayed considerably far away from one another, making it fairly troublesome for us to meet up. Despite our hectic schedules and difficulties of traveling, our team made it a point to meet up every Saturday at either one’s house for a meeting. Not only did we meet up every Saturday, we made use of whatever free time we had to discuss our work over the telephone, on the instant messenger , and sacrificing our break time and staying back after school to meet up , sometimes together with our mentor, to discuss matters related to our project.
Our Team’s Strength
The project gives us an opportunity to combine our interests and strengths into a group effort

Shaun: Shaun is the 'idea' man. He comes out with concepts of games and interactive learning. He arranges interviews and group meetings and does some researching. In addition, due to Shaun's wide range of contacts, visits to noodles shops and interviews of people in the career line related to noodles are often arranged by him.
