"I remember the days
of that Bloody December!
I was only 15 (the
age of my students)!
I've heard on Radio Free Europe that in
TIMISOARA the people upraised ...
The next day while going to school I asked my
friend if she heard the same things as I did . She said: "Yes...sstt! shut
up we cannot talk about it. "
I remember the years before that Bloody
December. I remember the evenings without electricity,
the fight for food.
But the
harmful thing was we cannot talk. We were afraid to talk to our friends, to
our neighbors. In fact, everybody suspected everybody.
I remember the fear from my parents eyes when
my mothers was to be imprisoned for she dared to tell a political joke.
What we gain? The
LIBERTY:
of speech, of travel, of information. WE REGAIN our identity as nation, as
human being!"
