There were many different patriots of the American Revolution. George Washington, Sam Adams, Thomas Jefferson, Patrick Henry, John Adams, and Paul Revere were the biggest and best known of the patriots.
- George Washington was the commander of the Continental Army. Before he was a commander, he was a Virginia plantation owner. Many people know him as the first president of the United States of America.
- John Adams supported independence. He was Sam Adams' cousin. Thomas Jefferson was the first vice president and second president. Thomas Jefferson wrote the Declaration of Independence. Was the third president of the United States of America.
- Sam Adams was one of the biggest patriots. He organized the Boston Tea Party. He is considered the father of the Revolution. He was one of the Sons of Liberty.
- Paul Revere one of the Sons of Liberty. His famous midnight ride was actually when he just rode through a few towns and then was caught by the British.
- Patrick Henry gave his famous speech before Congress. The speech ends with his famous quote “give me liberty or give me death. ”
