The Life and Works of Robert Denning

Robert Denning was born on March 13, 1927 and died on August 26,2005. Little did he know that he would become a famous intierior designer one day

As a kid he had interests in body and health both of which his mother gave him the idea.

As a teen he was a decorater who was inspired and tried to imitate Syrie Morgham.

 

In 1960 he and Vincent Fourcade opened up a firm called Denning & Fourcade

The Firm was an immedeate success whose clients were from the high class of society His customers included Tom Hanks, Jean Vanderbilt, Henry Kravis were some of the firms first customers. The firm took off from its start and became one of the most well-known decorater firms in the US
     
After the tragedy of Vincent Fourcade dying from AIDS in 1992, Denning 'reinvented' himself as he said in his own words He is was listed on AD100, which makes him one of the top 100 decoraters rated by Architectual Digest for many years Robert Denning gave money to charity throughout his life to Friends in Deed, a counseling organization for people with AIDS and cancer
     
He lived in Paris until the last ten years of his life with a friend that he met when he was fifteen, Edgar de Evia. After losing interest in his life in Paris he moved to New York City and died in his apartment in the Big Apple
