Here we've interviewed talented interior designer Mrs. Lori Duval. We asked her some questions, for you to learn a little more about interior design. |
- What first interested you in interior design?

- “That for me is probably because I’ve always had a love in colors and patterns. I think I’ve loved designing since I was a kid.”

- What is your favorite room to design?
|
- “The Dining Room is definetly my favorite room because it’s one of the formal entertainment rooms. It has the personality of the owner in it.”

- What is your favorite style?
|
- “ My favorite style is probably transitional, which is a mix of modern and traditional. I like transitional because it’s a little different but it still looks nice.”

- What color palette do you prefer?
|
- “I like more of the warmer color tones; more of the yellows, golds, greens and reds.”

- Do you believe that interior design is an art or an entertainment, and why?
|
- “I think it’s definetly an art because when you design someone’s home it’ s a message of that person. It’s your job, as the designer, to convey that message in the design of their home.”

- How long did you study interior design?
|
- "I studied interior design for two years."
|
- What types of interior design have you worked with?
|
- "I’ve worked with commercial and residential."
