Feng Shui literally stands for wind and water. Feng Shui is a decorating style and much more. It's the belief that by following a set of guidelines, one can acheive harmony and follow the ancient guidelines set by our ancestors.

 

 

In Feng Shui, each person represents one of the five main elements: water, wood, earth, metal, and fire. A balanced combination of these can prove to be lucky, according to feng shui.

For example, plants and wooden objects can represent wood. The wood element is sign of creativity and innovations.

Fireplaces can represent the fire element. The element of fire is used to show energy and passion. It is mainly accompainied with the color red.

Water fountains can help bring some of the water element in your home. This element is flourishing and gentle. Some colors associated with this element are dark blue and black.

To add some of the earth element, try using more of clay pots. This element can represent patience and honesty.

The metal element can be presented with coins and silver. This element can be a sign of success or destruction.

*Avoid clutter
*Mirrors, windchimes , and water fountains are great for any home
*Your bed should not face the door
*It's always best hide televisions in TV cabinets. This removes some of the negative energy from the atmosphere
*Pets such as frogs and fishes can be lucky and bring wealth
*Straight driveways are harmful, for they can bring negative energy in too fast. Slow, curving driveways are better for they help slow down the energy flow.
