A child’s bedroom should be a place where they enjoy being. Some kids like to be in their room, others do not. If they do like their room, nice job! If they do not like their room, make sure that they have some of their favorite toys, colors, and maybe even some sports equipment (as long as they know how to use it right!).

GIRLS

Many girls prefer colors in their rooms.

A lot of girls prefer pastel colors such as pastel pink, blue, yellow, green, orange, white, cream, and purple.

Others prefer vivid colors such as bright orange, pink, green, purple, red, and yellow.

Few like dark colors. Some examples are black, brown, forest green, gray, and navy.

Some themes that are chosen by many young girls are animals, flowers, sports, colors, princesses, fairies, underwater, and even beach themes.

Not as many boys prefer pastel colors as girls do. Some pastel colors that boys like in their rooms are blue, cream, green, and white.

I think you will find that a lot of boys like to have multicolored rooms consisting of browns, blacks, greens, blues, yellows, and reds.

Some themes that young boys prefer are cars, construction, trains, jungle, colors, underwater, and sports themes.
