Dyskinetic CP is a type of CP that affects the ability to control movement. Two subtypes of Dyskinetic CP are Athetoid and Ataxic. When a person has Athetoid CP, the person has spurts of uncontrollable movement. These movements can occur with any part of the body. Approximately 10-20% of CP cases are this type.

If a person has Ataxic CP, he or she lacks balance and coordination. Some functions of the eyes are also affected. Approximately 5-10% of cases of CP are Ataxic CP.

Mixed CP is a combination of all types of CP. There are few cases of this type.
