No one fully understands the causes of Kawasaki Disease, so there is no absolute cure. Some common medications have been known to help with its mild problems. Aspirin and Ibuprofen help with fevers, rashes, pain in the joints and any other pain that might be present. After taking this medication for a while, sometimes doctors prescribe a course of intravenous gamma globulin. This medication should lower the risks for coronary artery deficiencies. Nothing has really been chosen as “the” cure, because doctors today still know so little about KD.
