Many doctors may enroll a person with MD in physical therapy or they may recommend surgery.  These treatments may slow a patient’s muscle deterioration, extend their lifespan, and increase the time a patient may be mobile without the use of a wheelchair.  There is no cure as of yet for muscular dystrophy, but researchers and scientists are working diligently towards this goal.
