In the wake of the publicity about cancer and heart disease, diseases that are sweeping the world, many genetic disorders go unnoticed and are even counted as less important.  However, our team seeks to enlighten students from grades sixth and above about these genetic disorders, in hopes that these will one day be as commonly known as cancer and heart disease and that this knowledge will encourage further research towards finding cures.

In presenting this information, we will discuss the origin of selected genetic disorders, statistics concerning these disorders, as well as symptoms, diagnoses, and treatments.
